What is the fee for the first meeting?
The first consultation of up to forty-five minutes carries a fixed nominal fee, which is adjusted against professional charges if you retain me. You will always be told the full fee structure in writing before any work begins.
Is everything I tell you confidential?
Yes. What you tell me is privileged under the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984. Your information is protected whether or not you ultimately retain me.
Will someone else appear on my date?
No. This is a solo practice. The advocate you instruct is the advocate who appears. If a date cannot be kept, you are told in advance — not surprised at the courtroom door.
Can I instruct you in Urdu?
Yes. Consultations, advice and drafting are available in Urdu or English. Bring the papers you have; I will tell you what is missing.
Do you appear outside Rawalpindi?
Yes. I appear regularly before the District Courts and the High Court in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and I can be instructed for matters across Punjab.
Can you handle urgent bail or stay?
Urgent criminal and injunctive matters I take up on priority, often within twenty-four hours of engagement. Telephone me directly and mark the enquiry urgent.
Can I walk in without writing first?
WhatsApp first. I am often in court during the day. I will tell you if I am in chambers and when to come. Once I confirm, no appointment is needed for a first visit.
What if I message on Sunday or after 6pm?
WhatsApp is read even when chambers are shut. I reply on the next working morning, unless it is bail, stay or custody — then call, and I take it up as soon as I can.
