On the record
Privilege, privacy and this website.
Communications with an advocate are protected. This page states, in plain language, how enquiries are treated and what this site stores.

What you tell me is privileged.
Communications between an advocate and a client are privileged under the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984. I treat every enquiry as confidential — telephone, WhatsApp, email, and the consultation brief — whether or not a retainer follows.
Nothing you send is repeated outside that relationship, except where the law requires it or you instruct me to disclose.
How enquiries are read.
WhatsApp, telephone and email to counsel@advahmedali.com are read by me. There is no call centre and no junior screening the facts. If you send a brief from this website, it only leaves your phone when you press send — as a WhatsApp message or an email you control.
What this website stores.
The consultation form keeps a draft in your own browser so you can leave and return. That draft does not leave your device until you send it. I do not receive a brief that stays on your phone. Language preference (English or Urdu) is stored on your device only.
This site does not use advertising cookies, does not sell enquiry data, and does not run a public case tracker. If you clear your browser storage, the draft and the language setting are gone.
Maps and other third parties.
The chambers map is an embedded Google Map. Google may process the request to load that map. WhatsApp and your email provider process messages you choose to send. I do not run Facebook, TikTok or advertising pixels on this site.
The pages are information, not a retainer.
Guides and practice pages are general information about the law in Pakistan. They are not advice on your facts. An advocate–client relationship is formed only when a formal retainer is executed, after a consultation and a fee in writing.
