Criminal Defence
Bail, trial, appeals, FIR quashment.
Bail: often same day · Trial: months
Criminal work is won in the first seventy-two hours as often as it is won at trial. Bail under Sections 497 and 498 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, the quality of the first information report, and whether the investigation is being conducted within the law — these are the points on which liberty turns.
I appear in pre-arrest and post-arrest bail, in trial before Magistrates and the Court of Session, and in quashment petitions under Section 561-A CrPC and Article 199 of the Constitution. Urgent criminal and injunctive matters I take up on priority, often within twenty-four hours of engagement.
I speak to you and the family in plain language. You will always know the charge, the next date, and what the court is being asked to do.

Questions
On criminal defence.
Can bail be moved the same day?
Where the papers are in order — FIR, remand papers, CNIC — a bail petition can often be filed the same working day. Telephone me and mark the enquiry urgent.
Do you appear at police stations?
I advise at the investigation stage and, where instructed, attend with you. Representation at the police station is a matter of retainer and availability. Do not give a statement until you have spoken to me.
