Civil & Property Litigation
Title, possession, injunctions, specific performance.
Injunction: days · Suit: months–years
Property and civil work in Punjab turns on the record. Fard, mutation, registered sale deed, agreement to sell, and the chain of title decide more cases than speeches. I am instructed in disputes over urban plots, agricultural holdings, commercial premises and family property across Rawalpindi, Islamabad and the wider Punjab.
I appear in suits for declaration, possession, cancellation, partition and specific performance, and in applications for interim injunction under Order XXXIX of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. Where a decree has already been won and not enjoyed, I take execution seriously — until the result on paper is a result on the ground.
You will have a written view on merits, likely timelines and the cost of seeing the matter through. I do not recommend litigation that cannot be won, and I do not abandon a brief once the decree is signed.
- Declaration and possession suits
- Specific performance of agreements to sell
- Temporary and permanent injunctions
- Partition of family property
- Execution of decrees
- Cancellation and rectification of documents

Questions
On civil & property litigation.
How long does a property suit take in Rawalpindi?
A contested title or possession suit in the District Courts typically runs months to several years, depending on the docket, service of summons and how complete the record is. Interim injunctions can often be moved in days. I will give you a realistic window in writing after I read the papers.
Do I need a registered sale deed to sue?
Not always. An agreement to sell, receipts, possession, and mutation entries can found a suit for specific performance or declaration. The strength of the case depends on the documents you actually hold. Bring everything to the first meeting.
